Life is too busy to let you sit down, relax and think which direction are you moving to. Isn't it? Most people see it as a means to an end. Not as an opportunity to relish it and make it meaningful. Sadly, I have been one of those most people. It is at times such as these, when you feel motivation less, directionless and hopeless about your future, you tend to initiate a dialogue with the most important voice, your inner voice.
Who am I? What am I supposed to do? What is my purpose here? I see that all those who have identified their purpose of existence and have committed to it, have attracted all the happiness, wealth and made a mark for themselves. Look at Sachin Tendulkar, Lata Mangeshkar, Shahrukh Khan, Amir Khan, Ronaldo, Roger Federer, Sergey Brin, Larry Page, Nandan Nilekani, Narayan Moorthy and there are countless successful individuals who seem to have been born for what they pursued and look at the result of their doing so. It is in knowing what am I born for, lies the hidden treasure of life.
I strongly believe that each one of us is born with a unique capability that no one else has. First step towards relishing life to the fullest is then in identifying that unique ability. Everything else would just fall in place if you are in tune with what nature has made you for.
I am someone who has taken interest in a lot of things, music, sports, computers, some one who has WOWed at a lot of things, but have not pursued anything with commitment. Am I waiting for some angel to come down to me and tell me what is my Dharma? my unique ability to serve the humanity? Am I waiting for that realization? Am I being just lazy to commit to any of my interests? I don't have obvious answers to these questions.
